FERNANDO LÓPEZ RAMÓN – Climate Change and French Way of Participation

In a context of periodic crises in constitutional democracy, administrative participation forms part of the arsenal to counterbalance the detachment of authorities, public-sector elitism and citizen apathy. In this paper, we will attempt to describe how administrative participation evolved in French doctrine, although it is impossible to establish exact delimiting dates for the series of publications and events conveying the interaction between theory and practice. The periods are approximate and overlap each other, especially during times of change. Similarly, the aim of giving academic groups a prominent role in the series of trends is also to try to reference general or dominant guidelines, which we will see in the work by authors representing each stage.
