Despite being the flagship regulatory process of the Von der Leyen Commission, the European Green Deal rises not few perplexities among
scholars and policy-makers, especially in light of the inherent difficulties of achieving its core objective enshrined, inter alia, in the European Climate law, i.e., the carbon neutrality target.
